Dr. George Landress is only one of several hundred doctors to achieve both Fellowship and Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. The Academy of General Dentistry is an international organization of over 40,000 general dentists. Members are committed to continuing dental education to give patients the best possible care.
Dr. Landress received the Fellowship Award in 1986 after completing more than 600 hours of continuing education courses and passing a rigorous, comprehensive Fellowship examination. This earned him the Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (F.A.G.D.) title. He received the A.G.D.’s prestigious Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (M.A.G.D.) title in 1998 during convocation ceremonies in Boston, Massachusetts.
Earning the Mastership award involved first completing Fellowship and then completing additional extensive courses, most of which were hands-on courses in 16 dental disciplines totaling more than 1400 hours. The Mastership Award is the highest distinction an A.G.D. member can achieve, and he is the only dentist in Danbury to achieve a Mastership certification. Dr. Landress is from Franklin Square, New York, and has been practicing in Danbury, Connecticut, since 1980. He received his B.S. (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration) degree from Boston University and keeps his C.P.A. (certified public accountant) license current in N.Y. He earned his D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
In addition to the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Landress is also a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Greater Danbury Dental Society, the New England Master’s Study Club, the Fairfield County Dental Club, the International Society of Police Surgeons, the New York State Police Investigators Association-Surgeon Division, and is credentialed by the Filosa Convalescent Home.
Dr. Landress is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, which is the highest credential a dentist can achieve in sleep medicine. He participates regularly in continuing education and reads numerous dental journals to stay up-to-date with current techniques and materials.
Dr. Landress takes true pride in his work and provides his patients with quality comprehensive dentistry in a friendly, caring, personalized manner.
He lives in Danbury and is on call 24 hours a day, even on holidays, for emergencies. He and his staff have a great reputation and are proud to have many loyal, long-term, satisfied patients, as evidenced by testimonials. He gladly welcomes new patients, including referrals, families, and walk-ins.

Hi! I’m Merita, a Certified Dental Assistant here at Danbury Smiles, and I absolutely love what I do. Working with Dr. Landress is such a rewarding experience — he’s incredibly kind, generous, and truly cares about every patient. I learn something new from him every day, and it inspires me to give my very best to everyone who visits our office.
I’ve been working in the dental field for many years, and to me, dentistry is like art. Each time I assist with a treatment, it feels like we’re creating something beautiful that can completely change the way someone feels about their smile — and about themselves. Seeing that first happy look in the mirror is honestly one of the best parts of my job.
One of my favorite things about Danbury Smiles is the amazing team I get to work with every day. We support each other, laugh together, and share the same goal: to make every patient’s visit as positive and stress-free as possible. When you come in, we want you to feel like you’re part of our dental family.
I’m originally from Kosovo, and moving to the United States was a big change — but it gave me the chance to build a wonderful life here with my husband, Nick, and our two beautiful children. When I’m not in the office, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family and enjoying simple, happy moments together.
I feel so lucky to work with such a compassionate team and such amazing patients. My goal is to make sure you feel comfortable, cared for, and confident about your smile every single time you visit us. I look forward to meeting you!

Hi, I’m Liz, and I’m proud to be the Patient Care Coordinator and Financial Coordinator here at Danbury Smiles. I’ve worked in the dental field for over 20 years, and I’ve spent most of that time right here with Dr. Landress and this incredible team. This practice truly feels like home — it’s worth the drive from New York every day because I believe this is the very best place for patients to receive care.
My favorite part of what I do is helping patients feel at ease — whether that means walking you through treatment options, answering insurance questions, or finding a payment plan that works for your budget. Seeing patients complete their treatment and leave with healthier, more confident smiles is what makes my job so rewarding.
Outside the office, I’ve been happily married to my husband for more than 20 years, and we have a wonderful college-age daughter. I love traveling with my family and making new memories together, whether we’re discovering new places or simply enjoying a weekend getaway.
I feel so fortunate to work with such a compassionate team and such wonderful patients. I look forward to meeting you and helping make your experience at Danbury Smiles as easy and stress-free as possible!

Hi, I’m Sabrina! I was born and raised right here in Danbury, CT, and I’ve been passionate about dentistry since 2016. I started my career as a dental assistant and quickly discovered how much I love helping people feel good about their smiles. After graduating from the University of Bridgeport, I became a Registered Dental Hygienist — a career that allows me to combine my love of science, prevention, and patient care.
I am deeply committed to helping patients achieve not just healthy smiles, but better overall health. Dental health is closely connected to systemic health, and I love working with patients to prevent and treat issues that can impact their whole body. At Danbury Smiles, Dr. George Landress and I work closely with our amazing team to provide the highest level of care every single day. Our practice offers non-surgical gum infection therapy, Perio Protect® treatment, bad breath solutions, and even care for snoring and sleep apnea — because your oral health affects your overall health and well-being.
Continuing education is very important to me, and I make it a priority to stay current on the latest research and techniques so I can give my patients the very best care. I love the team I work with, and together we share the same goal: to provide the best dental care possible and to keep our patients comfortable, healthy, and smiling.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and taking my sweet dog, Lola, for long walks.
I look forward to meeting you, helping you feel comfortable, and partnering with you on your journey to lifelong oral and overall health.
